Sunday School

Sunday School (After Holy Qurbana)jesus-with-children-0404

Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’

Members of St Simon’s believe that one of the best gift we could give to our children is bringing them up in faith of our lord Jesus Christ. We believe Sunday School is one of the key vehicles to achieve this and also to pass on our traditions, culture and goodwill. So St. Simon’s Church has started an active and ambitious Sunday school program. In coordination with our Archdiocese we believe mission of our Sunday School program is to:

  • Build Knowledge: Develop an understanding of Bible to provide a strong foundation for Christian Living.
  • Individual Study and Analysis:  Help our children understand that God has a plan for each of them.
  • Decision Making: Lead our children and show them a path to a personal commitment to follow Jesus.
  • Hold the Faith and Grow: Learn to worship our Lord through singing, praying and reading bible and help them remain in that commitment.

We plan to achieve this mission by

  • Implementing a structured program for learning the Word of God.
  • Sharing our faith and help them to seek guidance from Bible
  • Providing interactive environment to understand and experience God’s love and His call.
  • Educate our children on the need for regular worship and offer exciting opportunities to be with children who keep the same Christian values. Introduce them to the faith and sacraments of the Church.
